Some Random Thoughts..
Just a place to put some random thoughts..

Even though i havnt updated my blog for almost a month, they considered me an active user and invited me to beta test Google's new mail service yesterday. If you have been reading your online news, watchin BBC/CNN, reading daily news paper you would know what GMail is. It is the much hyped, 1 GB mailbox, web-based mail service from Google. So from yesterday, I have been flaunting my new mail is, xxxxx@gmail.com (there i go again! changed for anonimity), and making fellow geeks jealous. It feels nice to tell people that they have to wait for some time to get this. I have been using the acount for a day and a half now and I am impressed. This things lives upto the expectation. They have something called as "Coversations" that groups the mails together. Not a new concept. Its been there in mail readers like mutt (its called threads) for ages but they are the first to get it in a webmail system. Nice. It autocompletes the To: field. Very Useful. The ads on the pages are non-intrusive and frankly speaking I am not much concerned about privacy. Good work Google.

Now that I have seen the advantages of frequest blogging, I will keep updating this blog more often, I promise!
