Fourth August was Late Kishore Kumar's Birthday. That day on some news channel they had called singer Abhijeet and he sang KK's songs requested by viewers. I almost never send any request for such things but I wanted to pay my tribute to the legend.
Born as Abhas Kumar Ganguly in Khandwa, Kishore Kumar dint receive any formal training in music. To compensate that he had a wonderful versatile voice and an intuitive knowledge of music. He had a voice which could make you feel the pain as well as make you jump with joy. Many have tried to imitate his voice but noone came even closer.
People think that this man was crazy. But somehow I think that it was just a frontend. And you need to be a little crazy to be able to tolerate the world. He was a singer, an actor, a director and music director. He could change his voice depending on for whom he is giving the playback.
He is one of the persons, and there are very few, who makes life a little easier for me and everyone else. Kishore Kumar, the legend!
