Just a place to put some random thoughts..
I saw "Somethings gotta give" on Friday. I think that theater, Rex, where I saw tree bad movies, is cursed. This was not a BAD movie but not good also. The performances are really good. But the movie is boring. And what made it really boring was a couple sitting in the row infront of us. I just dont understand why people buy costly tickets to come into a thatre and start kissing from the first minute. There are cheaper places to do all that stuff, especially in Banglore, the City of Gardens! Anyway, I think Diane Keaton will win the oscars.
And Johny Depp.
Came across really funny and cool book. This guy rocks! I wish Don Knuth writes his remaining volumes like that :)
Last post was about The day. That led me to post this. The Month.
Yesterday I completed my first month in . I think I like the place. With some good work, it has also brough to my life something that was never there earlier, a sleep-early-getup-early routine. I must say it is not that hard as I used to think it would be. This also was my first month in the new city, Bangalore. Weather is good and looks like it stays good throughout the year. Just like my home city, Pune. I also became really adventurous and made an onlet for myself one day. An amazing achievement, a breakthrough, if you would like. I can see that you are already impressed.
Some people say I brag too much.. but i dont think so.. do you? :)
This post is about, as the title suggests, the day. Today. Today I came in to the office at 7 am. (I am saying it in such a nonchalant way that the listener .. or the reader.. would think "My God! Such a difficult task and hes not even bothered!".. Something like when we people, i.e. geeks, go "OMG" when Linus says that he did it "Just for fun"). Still fighting with the project and gaining grounds inch by inch. In the meanwhile, cracked the ("OMG" moment for you again!).
The day is going to bring me a movie called "Somethings gotta give" in the evening about which I shall write when I come back to office on Monday.
I am sorry. The last entry was VERY small. Those who know me might be shocked to know that I was in office at 7 in the morning on that day. The reason was a conference meeting with guys in Adaptec, US throughout which I was just nodding to everything and somehow managed to keep the eyes open with an intelligent sounding "Hmmm.." every now and then. The outcome of the meeting was the knowledge that I have SO MUCH TO DO WITH SO LITTLE TIME. I am planning to go to pune on 27th of Feb. and I have a delivery on the same day. Can you believe it?? I cant!
So here I am. Trying to work really hard. Lets see what happens.
The other day there was a story on slashdot, on CNN, on BBC and even on DD that windows NT and 2000 sources have leaked on the net. I didnt get them. Looks like I missed the bus :(
Last friday .. ya.... i think it was friday.. no wait.. 11th.. was wednesday.. my mother's birthday.. Yes, on wednesday I saw LOTR, RotK. The sound system sucked but overall it was nice. I liked the movie.
Throughout the last weekend I, with my cousin, was roaming on CMH Road for a TV. I found it easier to attain nirvana than finding the TV we wanted available in the market. But finally we got the Phillips 14" it sitting in out hall. Nice one. Am impressed.
And hey, dont be shocked if you see another short entry from me tomorrow morning. Yes, I have a meeting tomorrow also.
Check the timestamp of this entry. Thank you.
It was another hectic weekend. Two movies and a concert. Saw "Paap" on Friday and we thought it was the worst movie ever. The music score was good, i thought. The girl, some Udita Someone, was also ok. But john Abraham was suffering from terribly acting fits. All in all, the movie sucked. But wait.. then came Saturday and it brought a movie called "Le Divorce" with it. Which is THE MOST WORST movie ever. Only entertainment came from that movie was an old chap who was snoring like hell (snoring like tanay is the proper phrase) in the theatre. It was too funny! Laughed a lot.
Then went for Bangalore sight seeing. Went to Vidhan Saudha and Bangalore Palace and walked a lot. Mahesh and Kushal were supposed to go to Bryan Adams concert on sunday. But Mahesh was busy and gave his ticket to me. I was not sure about it because my experience about the concert when he last played in Bombay was not good. But still, i went. There was a huge queue to get in and it was jampacked. The concert was pretty good. Better than his last performance some 4 years back.
Today, after years, I have left the house without wearing my watch. And its making me crazy. I am wearing this watch for last 10 years, 12 months a year etc. etc.
Yes, I am back in Bangalore. It was a very happening weekend.
I had never travelled this much before in my life. The total comes to be about 40 hours in bus/car and 3 hours on cycle. Thats something.. isnt it? :)
Ok, First things first. I was ! It was like watching god (two gods infact) playing. Met a "dude" from bangalore there. I will write about him sometime later.
Then in Pune, between all this travelling, i found time for a movie with calsoft gang. Saw "khakee". Pretty good actually.
I got my cycle here with me. It took me nearly an hour to ride it home in bangalore. Left me dehydrated. It was one of those moments when you feel that you ought to take more care of your body. Lets see, I will join a gym soom.
India won. I have lost all the interest in these stupid legue matches.
