Some Random Thoughts..
Just a place to put some random thoughts..

Hi there. Yes, I know i should be posting more entries here. And I promise I will do that from tommorow. For starters see this link about .

I just completed a month without movies. I dont remember a precedence for this. The reason could be a) no company b) no time c) no good movies d) not enough cash e) all of above. Anyway, I am planning to go back to Pune on Good-Friday weekend. I will catch atleast 2 movies there. Yesterday I was talking to one of my colleague and we were discussing how we missed several holidays this year because they fell on saturdays or sundays. Thank god Good-Friday dint come on saturday this year ;)

Cricket: YES!!! Indian team is in Pakistan and it rocks! We have won the oneday series by 3-2. We won the first match. It was a close one. We slammed 349 and they came very close. Second match we lost by 12 runs. This time they slammed 330 odd and we lost by 12 runs. They won 3rd match by chasing 244. Pretty Easy. And then we won 4th and 5th match. No Sweat.

Today was 4th day for the first test at Multan. And we have it covered. Its just a matter of formality now. Sehwag scored smashing 309. First Indian to score a triple-ton. Sachin was 194 not out when we declared. And now we need one wicket tomorrow to seal the victory. Pretty impressive. The Indian Team Rocks.

Yes. I am alive!
I know I should be updatiting this thing more often but nothing actually happened throughout the week. The whole weekend I spent in bed.. (alone that is..). Watched "The Untouchables" on TV. Awsome movie. I was planning to come to office and continue to work on SOS but got too lazy. I was so lazy that I actually skipped a meal or two. That also happens every now and then with me. Thats it.. it was a truly lazy weekend.

I am doing some nice interesting things at work. Thats important because I get really frustrated if I dont keep myself busy in interesting things. I have also started with Knuth Vol.1 and Cormen. Knuth is as cryptic as expected. Cormen is nice and simple. Today I am planning to spend some time on SOS. Lets see.
Reached Bangalore today noon. Journey was not bad. Surprisingly they showed three better-of-the-lot movies. Munnabhai MBBS, Hangama and Baghban. First two I had seen before on the big screen, Baghban was for the first time. It is a nice movie, kinda based on a marathi movie called "Tu tithe me".

Came to office and started working straight-away. There were SO many mails in the Inbox, took some time for me to sync-up with the world. And now am back.
Posting this from Pune, the city of better Cinema Theatres and friends. I left Bangalore on Friday, 27th of Feb. Came by the usual bus. Only this time I was not alone. Mahesh was with me and it was a little less boring. We had lunch near his office and by the time we reached at the dinner halt, a place called ""Davangere", the nature had been calling me badly for some time. It was hell for perfectly understandable reasons.

Reached Pune at seven in the morning. Slept for some time. Got up and went for a movie with cousin, Amey. Saw "Ek hasina thi". Good movie. You can describe as "Satya"+"Ghayal" with a female lead. Urmila has done a good job as usual and for once Saif is not in a role of a confused lover. Pretty good. Just one background song and no foreign locations. N ice.

On the way back home, went to the tech book shop and bought some books. Cormen, Knuth (1st Vol) and Tannenbaum. Am really getting dead serious about CS now.

Then in the evening went to Gurbir and Sarika's wedding receiption and it was fun. Hanged around with the calsoft dudes. Enjoyed a lot. After coming home after midnight, mount called and we met at Ajuba. Anya, natesh, mount and me. The old gang was together again. Had my favourite mango pulp with cream and went to his pune house. Just sat and talked. Really nostalgic day :). Came home at about 2. Saturday was over, sunday had started.

Sunday gave me time to lazy around the house. Started with Knuth. Pretty interesting. I am also starting a secret SOS project. Coded for the SOS bootsector from scratch (assembly and all!)

In the evening I was suppose to go to Roopali at 7:30. But Indo-pak Under-19 World cup semi-final was getting interesting. Watched it till the point where India had some hopes of winning and left for Roopali at 8 when all the hopes were lost. Ferguson Rd. on a Sunday evening is like a Mela, only worse. People just roam around the street doing absolutely nothing. Very irritating! Then went on MG Rd which was deserted compared to FCRd. Had a nice dinner at Mainland China, then Kulfi at JM Rd.

Gotup early morning on Monday. Mount, Varsha and me went to Mumbai by coolcab. Total Waste of money it was. In Mumbai, went to shoppers stop, bought new Norah Jones CD (which i was listening to a few minuted ago) and a book called Jitterbug perfume. The album is good. Very peaceful, jazz and blues kind of thing. Came back from mumbai in the night by MSRTC volvo, much better than the stupid coolcab.

And today I will leave for Bangalore by 7o'clock bus. Expecting a nice trip with some nice movies (high hopes, i know). Ciao!

I am still alive
